How it works

Paste your partner key
Under WooCommerce, then The Uni Deals, paste the key we send you and save. That is the whole setup.
Codes apply themselves
The widget shows on your cart and checkout automatically, and a matching one-use coupon lands the moment a student verifies.
What it stores
The short list.
The plugin's own settings, your partner key and display preferences, plus the ordinary WooCommerce coupons it creates, all on your own site. It stores nothing about students, on your site or on ours.
Orders that use a student code are reported to us for commission if you keep order reporting on; nothing about your customer is sent.

Five steps to a live widget
- Upload the plugin through Plugins, then Add New, then Upload Plugin.
- Activate it. WooCommerce must already be installed and active.
- Go to WooCommerce, then The Uni Deals.
- Paste your partner key.
- Save. The widget appears on your cart and checkout pages automatically.
Placing it yourself
Turn off auto-inject and drop the [unideals_widget] shortcode on any page or template instead. Layout, button style, alignment, width and colors are all available as shortcode attributes too, so a hand-placed widget still wears your settings.

The Report orders setting
When an order that used a student code is paid, marked processing, or marked completed, your site sends us the order id, the code, its subtotal and its currency, so commission is calculated from the real order value. This setting ships on by default and can be turned off any time from WooCommerce, then The Uni Deals; turning it off stops the report, not the discount.

Do I need a partner key?
Yes. Paste it under WooCommerce, then The Uni Deals, after activating the plugin; email hello@theunideals.com to get one for your store.
Will it appear on WordPress.org?
The listing is in review there. Until it is live, download the plugin directly from this page.
Does it collect student data?
No. Verification happens inside The Uni Deals. Your store only ever sees a discount code and the discount it carries.
Can I turn off order reporting?
Yes, from WooCommerce, then The Uni Deals. It ships on by default so commission is calculated automatically, and turning it off stops the report, not the discount.
